About Rooftop Productions
Rooftop Productions has been active in the NYC music scene for over 10 years. In various incarnations, it has operated as a composer’s room, a commercial facility specializing in album work for indie-label bands and artists, and in its present state as a Music Production studio.
Currently, the Rooftop Productions staff offers full-production packages to artists and musicians, bringing their years of engineering experience and musical talents to the task of creating Master-quality CDs ready for release. Artists working at Rooftop can take advantage of the variety of technical and creative services offered, including recording, editing, mixing, mastering, co-writing, arranging, and instrumental performance.
Rooftop Productions’ clientele ranges from artists seeking a one-stop solution to recording and producing their songs, to personal-studio recordists who bring their tracks in for additional production and sweetening and the finishing touches of mixing and Mastering. Our clients’ musical styles typically include rock, pop, folk, alternative, indie, and singer-songwriter genres.

The Rooftop Productions Staff
Martin Goodman
• Accomplished keyboard player with over 15 years recording experience.
• Has worked on staff at several top studios in NY, producing or engineering projects for various clients
• Has been active as a songwriter, lyricist, & performer, most recently handling live keyboards as a sideman on piano & B3 for various local bands & artists
Martin also does remote recordings and is active as a technical writer for industry publications.
Joe Albano
• Active freelance musician & recording engineer/producer for 20 years
• A multi-instrumentalist, he playes Keys, Guitar, Bass, Drums etc..
• His musical experience runs the gamut from rock/pop (writing, arranging, & performing, live & studio) to classical (he holds a B.A. & M.A. in music composition & theory)
Joe also operates a consulting and training business for musicians and studio operators, and has taught classes in all aspects of recording technology at local recording schools.
